As discussed in a previous post, brainwave entrainment is a technology using sound or light. When your brain is presented with pulses of sound or light in a particular frequency, it begins to copy that frequency. When you are in an awake state, your brain is in beta rhythm, operating at a frequency between 13 to 35 cycles per second. In a relaxed or meditative state, the frequency lowers to alpha rhythm, with a frequency of 8 to 13 cycles a second. This lower frequency results in reduced anxiety and stress, improved emotional stability, and other physical and mental benefits.
Regular practice of meditation induces an alpha state and eventually achieves these benefits, but usually requires many years of practice with long daily sessions. Brainwave entrainment can put you into that beneficial state quickly and easily.
Zen12 is an audio meditation program that uses isochronic tones in its entrainment sessions. Isochronic tones are a more powerful technology than the binaural beats used in Holosync. You do not need stereo headphones for this technology. The audio program puts you into an alpha state very quickly without any effort on your part and maintains it for a brief time. Towards the end, the rhythm slowly increases so that you are back in a beta state of alertness when the session ends. The feelings of relaxation, increased focus, and reduced stress continue for some time afterward.
Zen12 is a great program for people who would like to receive the benefits of meditation but don’t have the time in their busy schedules. Each recording is only 12 minutes long. The whole program has twelve levels in which the brainwave frequency is gradually decreased to achieve deeper and deeper levels of meditation. You use each level for a month before advancing to the next. For each level, you have a choice of four different background sounds. These include a relaxation track, sounds of nature, white noise, and a guided meditation mix.
If you are interested in a program that can “meditate for you” and help you achieve the benefits of meditation quickly and easily, consider Zen12.
